There is no way I could start this webpage without sharing two of my big obsessions in life – organisation and stationary.
Stationary – it brings a smile every day. I have to stop myself buying it on each shopping trip! I absolutely love having every gadget, stickers, coloured pens and post it notes. It is an absolute obsession, everyone who knows me just buys me new pieces for birthdays and Christmas. It saves them a fortune as they only need to buy a small clip or binder and I am smiling, a lot less expensive that a new handbag, but to be honest I wouldn’t say no to one either.
One of my first purchases was a fabulous teacher planner. I can’t express how much enjoyment I get from updating it, colour coding it and highlighting my key notes. This nicely brings me on to my second obsession ……
Organisation – I love a list, a plan and a highlighter. All things can be solved by a plan. Others may mock me but it has been my biggest strength during my training. There is nothing better than sitting down with a cup of tea, updating my planner and writing a few lists for home. I honestly don’t think I could have got through my first placement without being organised, from updating class notes, printing resources, tasks to do and assignment planning/feedback.
I probably come across as a right bore but its all about simple pleasures to make you happy and stationary and plans certainly do it for me!
